Its carnaval here, wich means 4~5 days of party-ing and drinking and getting no where near enough sleep (for me anyway).

(Somewhat related note; there are parades in every town with carnaval. My dad and some others did something in the one here. I wonder if they won a prize (Well, I think there where only 2 or 3 groups in there categorie, so… ) )

The last three nights, every evening, I went to Gilze, a near by town.
And last night, me and some friends from my old school where meating up.
And there she was. The girl that I had been riding to school with for 5 years.
There have been rumors about the two of us being together pretty much all the time (even when she had this one relatedship that lasted for, I think 6 months, some people kept saying she was my girlfriend.. silly them..) but we wheren’t.
But now that we hardly see eachother anymore, I miss her.. I miss everybody.. but mostly her.. and when I heard I’d be seeing her again, my stomach became hollow, I became nervous.
Weird feeling, getting nervous about seeing somebody you used to see all the time.
And then, last night, every time we looked at eachother, I just had to smile.
And when it was time for me to go home (She also lives in Rijen, but was sleeping in Gilze) somehow, they accomanied me a long long time (`they` being her and two of our other friends) and she and I talked a lot about.. well.. nothing really.. but that was OK.. I just didn’t want to go.. I wanted that overly pointless conversation that was taking place in the middle of the night to last for ever.

I’m not sure if she notices, the others did, but I hope she didn’t, kinda..

I’m calling her she just in came eigther one of my sisters sees this.

random rants

I have a few short things to talk/rant about, and it seems pointless to do that in different posts.
So here goes;

Lets say you have an IF board. You also have a domain that you want to use for that board.
Any normal person would use the damn domain manager right?
But no, for some reason people insist on having there board in a frame.

So your making a website. You want as many viewers as you can on it, obviously, so you make it standard complaint right?
Or, your an idiot, use some stupid IE-only stuff in it and have asp filter IE users out…

Your out party-ing.
The music is getting kinda rough, things are getting wilder. People are bumping into eachother, but its all good.
Then, somebody bumps into you. You hit him in the face. He tries to hit you back, so afterwards, you and all of your friends stab the guy. Perfectly normal huh…

You are a webhoster. Your offering hosting for not to much, tho databases cost extra, and your customars get some crappy control panel and just 6 email adresses (note; its there own domain name). But still, its all good, after all, they can’t expect some awsome control panel that would cost you lots, not if they want to keep the cheap hosting.
But then, you decide to no longer be a nice guy that offers decent hosting for a low price. when your servers are full, you don’t get new ones, you just dump more and more people on them, causing them to be slow as ####.
(procces times are about 20 times higher then they are at other places at times..)

So you don’t like windows. You want to install some form of linux, but your not exactly sure how.
So somebody posts something about VMWare, you decide to download that (dispite two others telling you to just set it up as a dualboot). So now, your running windows > VMWare > Linux (I think he uses Suse).
So, thats all good, but there is one problem.. why won’t linux run those games?
Oh, and is linux more stable the windows like this?
Awnser (By the guy that made the post about VMWare): Yes, much much more stable.

These are just a few things that where on my mind…
now lets focus onto the nicer things of life.

Today, a while after I came home from school, my dad said I had to come with him. So I got in the car and we drove of.
When we got to a quiet little street, he got out and told me to drive. :hyper:
Thats the first time I drove anything that goes faster then 45 Km/h (I have driven a tractor before, but then don’t go that fast, and you have loads more control over them, and then don’t stall anywhere near as easy,. :\ )
But it was fun. I kinda drove over a hare (Or well… the stupid thing jumped right under one of the tires actually. ) and the engine stalled a few times, but other then that, I think I did pretty good.

Its my birthdat today.
From now on, I’m officially an adult.
(Tho I’m not sure if thats really all that great… :\ )
Oh well, heavy booze and car driving here I come. ^_^

Also kinda weird: On my birthday, I’m going to the birthday party of me sisters boyfriend (Also his birthday today, so..)

Dumb dumb dumb

As those of you that have read my last entry know, I’m currently re-reading all Harry Potter books, before starting with Harry Potter and the Half Bloode(d?) Prince.
Then, I saw this topic and read it.
Dumb, dumb, dumb.
It has some spoilers in it. Things I didn’t want to know.
So that was stupid.. I should have knows a topic discussing how HP7 might go would involve spoilers.
But I couldn’t help myself. I just hope that I will have forgotton most of it before I get to HP6.

In other news, there is a fun new board about coding.[/advertising]

iron will

Yesterday, I had some time after school, so I went into a mall-ish place to get Harry Potter 6 and a new phone.
Couldn’t find a decent phone store tho. :\
(I really don’t know my way around Breda, where I go to school. And we don’t really have any decent stores for that sorta thing here in Rijen. )
I got HP6, but I haven’t started it yet.
You see, I’m re-reading the other parts first. (I’m now at chapter 13 of part 4.)
At first, I didn’t think I could resist, but it looks like my will is made out of some sort of tough material afterall.

Oh a random note:
Despite of my shouting at Java Threads earlier in IRC, I was loving it today.
Class was great.
We are working on a project where we need to send signals to a machine, the whole thing is splitup into three parts, every task group has three couples that all make all parts (task groups remain the same but the couples rotate) and me and my partner (It just sounds wrong to call a guy `my partner`.. ) did the thing we need to hand in tomorrow today, and we gave it some verry cute functionalities that we didn’t have to.
(Otherwise, we’d just get bored anyway. :p )

arr, stupid n00bs

Once again, a blog entry caused by me being pissed of at somebody.
See, there is this dutch PC board I’m a member in.
They have a webdesign section. Thats where I post most.
But lately, there have been questions like: `How do you change that background color?`, `How do you change text color?` and `How do you center your text?`
O how I wanted to post something along the lines of `Learn HTML and CSS you fokkin n00b! And no, I will not give you a link to one. Just use a search engine, damit.`
But then I’d probally get in troubles with the moderators there.
But really, I don’t get it. If you want to learn how to make websites, learn HTML and CSS, don’t go ask about every little aspect about making websites on a board, you’ll only annoy people, who then start ignoring you, so when you have a recent question, nobody reads it, so you’ll never figure out, as your to stupid to search the web for it.

Another fun type of topics:
Can you make a site that has this:

• news system
• intergrated forum
• changable page content
• categories for the pages
• inbuild blogs for multiple users

Yea.. I can… how much are you willing to pay?

reinstalling.. again..

Somehow, my sisters managed to get so much spyware on our other pc that it is now as good as unusable.
And I just can’t seem to get rid of it. Gave every program I know a shot. But nothing.
They’ll probally be pissed of about this, but I’m going to format it.. again. And I think I’ll just setup FF as default browser for it, wich should mean less spyware. And if they don’t like it, to bad for them.

Hmm.. after some more research, it turned out to be a `sponser program` that came with MSN Plus 3.

oh come on

As you guys probally know, I do almost zero support.
But today, I thought, hey, lets give it a try.
Lets see if there are some unawnsered topics there.
I found one that had two questions, to wich nobody had awnsered.
It was about to go to page two, into forgottenness.
So I awnsered both questions.
I just forgot one tiny little detail in the first one.
So this other guy sees the topic (wich he probally wouldn’t have read if I hadn’t posted.), reads it and things:
Hey, that guy posted some links to the documentation, lets just quote some lines from that, ad that little detail he had forgotten.
Correct me, sure, if I forgot something / am wrong, by all means.
But don’t repost something thats by far less good support and ad that tiny little detail somewhere in it.
Now, if its something the person that had the question needs, he may thing: `This is already been posted…` and ignore it, causing him to mis the verry reason you made that post.

Weird, when I started this post, I wanted to rant.
Now, I just want to make the support forums a better place.
(Not that the people that could learn from this read it, but still…)
